The latest work I did for some sort of an assignment. The theme is "who I am". Filming the images as recording what I see at each present moment. Then, at the editing phase, I tried to face the recorded images as artifical as possible without thinking about the contexts, intensity, coherence that were there when I was filming in order to liberate, recreate, reactivate, digest, amend the contexts of each image. Inspired by Situtionist way of creating a piece. Although the Video Resume was more formalistic in presenting who I am, this one has the same theme "telling who I am" with a different form, style and perspective. I put emphasis on presenting who I am through the production phase. There isn't clear depiction that this is who I am thing, but I tried to make it something people can sort of sense "who I am" and what kind of person I am.

最新作。おかん初登場！何故か他の人の前では俺の事を「わたるちゃん」と呼ぶ事にこれを作っていて気付きました。テーマはVideo Resumeと似てて自己紹介、自分らしさみたいなとこです。けどVideo Resumeがビデオによるレジュメっていう形式的なものを重視していましたが、今回のは制作という過程を通して描ける自分らしさに焦点を当てました。例えば日常生活の行動範囲で溢れているイメージをカメラを自分の目として記録し、記録された映像は自分の記憶として編集しました。記憶といっても、撮影していた時に感じてた事、考えていた事は一切切り離し、編集の段階にいる新たな自分が記録されたものを使って創造、再構築しました。編集でイメージをあくまでもアーティフィシャルに扱う事で、自分がどう身の周りの世界を見るかだけではなく、見たものに対してへの自分なりの介入、消化と昇華を表す事で「自分とは」を描きました。なので、これが自分だ！という正確な答えはないですが、なにか見る人がこんな人だろうな、と汲み取ってもらえるようなものになりました。

Mission Statement

どうも、これからどんどん、たいした事ない自作映画というか、自己満足ビデオを純粋に自分の興味に沿って更新していこうと目論んでいます。なので、興味をもっていただかなくても、たまにちょっと見てみたいなと思えば気軽にノックして下さい。
今のところ、過去に作ったもの中心に更新していくと思いますが、追々今の自分の実生活からインスパイアされたもんを作って更新していきたいです。
このサイトのテーマ的なものはタイトルの「Visual(視覚の) Poetry(詩歌)」が指す様に詩的な感情であり、表現を映像で伝えてみようって感じです。だからちょっと実験的でハッキリとしたストーリーってものは多分これから作るものには出てこない筈なので期待しないで下さい。というのも、詩人が日常生活で感じた感傷であり感情の起伏等を基に詩を書くと仮定して、自分が作るものも基本、普段生きてる中で感じれるものとかに焦点をあててあやしいけど大胆に伝えていきたいからです。特に、普段見落としがちな一瞬の美しさであり、儚さみたいなものを描ければと思います。なので、実生活の中の人であれ、ものであれ、出来事であれ、空気であれ、そういう世界を構成するものを感じ、触れ合って生く中でピンっとくるものを探していきます。

hello, I made this vlog site for my pure interest.
The concept of this vlog site is "visual poetry". By visual poetry, it"s a collection of poems and poetic ideas in visual (video) form. And just as poets get their inspiration from their daily life experience and feelings, my works should be inspired from the materials from how I actually live/ experience my life. In other words, it's about an interaction with the world (people, materials, phenomena, air etc.)
For now, I might be putting up the videos I'd already made when I was in the U.S. Sooner or later, I will film and make new ones which are based on the concept above.
